Goronwy Thom
Goronwy has performed professionally for 28 years, in front of audiences of varied sizes across the world. He first appeared at the age of 4, in The Dolls House at The Crucible Theatre, Sheffield . He then retired from serious drama and decided to try to make people laugh instead and has done this in some form ever since!
On the way he has been seen at thousands of venues including at The Royal National Theatre, on BBC Television and Radio, on ITV, on Channel 4, in The Moscow State Circus, at Glastonbury Festival, Edinburgh Festival, with English Touring Opera and has toured major UK theatres with the company he produces - Slightly Fat Features – a hugely successful comedy variety troupe.
Goronwy learnt to juggle in the Ruskin Hall so it is always with great pleasure that we invite him back to his former nursery venue. The Last time he came Headlined!!
Sid Bowfin
Manic idiot violinist Sid Bowfin is the classical musician the world has been waiting for - the missing link in the classical DNA! Unpredictable, unhinged, unique. Full of the music you love! And some you probably hate. Mozart, Vivaldi, Rossini, Pachelbel, Dexy's Midnight Runners – he knew them all. Great music (played surprisingly well), and audience banter - he loves to get to know his audience, sometimes more intimately than is appropriate, and seeks out fellow lovers of classical music to help him spread his joy. You have been warned…
Your cabaret was a riot from start to finish! Enthralling, ingenious, and extremely witty, it totally captivated both the young and older brethren. It really was a masterclass in musical dexterity and mimicry. The totally spontaneous, rapturous and lengthy standing ovation was well deserved!
