Desperately Seeking Ruskin

Sun 27th Sep 2015
Ruskin Hall

Cabaret Boom Boom presents a show specially commissioned by the Ruskin Festival and the Guild of St George to celebrate the influences of John Ruskin in Walkley.  This is a unique promenade performance that will animate significant sites in Walkley bringing to life the eccentric curators of the museum, Henry and Emily Swan, and some of the visitors they inspired.

The show lasts 1 hour and follows a 1 kilometre trail led by a knowledgeable and opinionated guide. It offers a dramatic and eclectic window into the past, with an unexpected and entertaining mix of dragons, vertiginous alpine walkers, live music, flying objects and a high drama finish.

Audiences are limited to 50 per show. Shows will start at the Walkley Cottage Pub Car Park, Bole Hill Road at 1,3 & 5pm  and ends at Walkley Green, South road. Suitable for all ages including children.

Tickets £5 exclusively from Beeches of Walkley.
